Monthly “Raise the Bar” Report- Sep. 2015

Hello Pacha Soap Supporters!

It is our joy and honor to share specific numbers with you all each month regarding Pacha’s buy-one, give-one campaign, Raise the Bar. As you know, for every bar of Pacha Soap you purchase, a bar is given to someone in need. Together, we’ve given over 146,000 bars just this year!

Along with the buy-one, give-one model, Pacha’s mission is to create a lasting way to help: providing a way for people to help lift themselves from poverty. Our partner, Imagine Burundi shares in our mission to implement sustainable solutions to the poverty cycle through entrepreneurship. That is why all the give-away bars are made in the communities that they help! Currently, 10 men and women from Burundi, Africa have careers as soap makers and produce the soap that is given. Our partners and dear friends at Imagine Burundi then distribute the soap and provide hand washing education to 30,000 school children in that area each month.

The production of the give-away soap in Burundi is not only excellent for the health of the children; it provides an excellent income for the community of Kamakara in Burundi. Since introducing the soap making careers in Burundi, $18,559.58 has been invested into their local economy this year alone! With a national average income of $270/year per person, there are enough leftover funds for the people to save and invest in their communities in other ways.

Burundi, Africa is the first of many micro-soap making shops that Pacha plans to implement around the globe. You have a direct influence in the lives of people every month, and that impact is only going to grow from here. Thank you for joining with us to Raise the Bar!

With love,
Andrew and Abi
